There are six types of units: commanders, infantry, heavy infantry, daemons, vehicles, and Titans.Д¬ommanders are hero units, and can usually only be built once. All units also have stances these affect how the units respond to enemies. Units are often specialized to be better using one attack type. Most units have a melee attack and a ranged attack. Squad caps may be increased using methods differing between races. The number of units a player may field at one time is determined by population and vehicle 'squad caps' these limit the number of infantry troops and vehicles a player may have on the battlefield. The C'tan decieved the Necrontyr, turning them into unliving metal constructs now known as the Necrons. Gain immortality in return for serving them. The Necrontyr gave physical forms to these star eating entities, and entered a dark pact. Once they discovered the C'tan, however, everything would change. When they first encountered the Old Ones, with their immortality, the Necrontyr became jealous and began their efforts to destroy them, but the Old Ones and their uplifted 'children', the Eldar, held them back with ease. Born on a planet blasted by their star's radiation, their people lived short, miserable lives. The Necrontyr were a race that existed in the earlier days of the galaxy.
